Hey there, loved ones…

Welcome! My name’s Lauren, and I’m a pro wedding photographer, editor, and writer based in the beautiful city of Bath in the UK.

Over the last ten years, I’ve worked on the world’s biggest photo magazines and websites, including as the Managing Editor of Digital Camera World, and the Editor of Digital Photographer magazine. I’ve also written many original stories for Canon Europe Pro.

Obviously, I love taking photos (I studied wildlife photography at Falmouth University), but that’s not all. I’m a dog mum to my Flat-coated Retriever Remy and I looorve (among other things) coastal walks, coffee, books, birds, brunch, and The 1975.

Am I the right fit for you?

You deserve the best on your wedding day. I take on a limited number of weddings every year, so you get all my love, time, and energy. Every couple is different, and every photographer is too! Here’s a bit more about me.

My style: Channeling years of experience in editorial and features photography, I blend candid moments with crafted, guided shots to share the full picture of your wedding day without taking over. I capture you looking your best without forcing you and your guests into hundreds of posed photos.

My aesthetic: I’m inspired by the natural beauty of the countryside. Rather than following the latest preset trends, I aim for classic and timeless images that can be enjoyed for generations.

My personality: I’m laid back and calm under pressure, with a cheeky sense of humour that’s perfect for a wedding day. I may be an introvert by nature, but I love getting to know clients and couples, sharing in the emotional moments, and making you feel at ease.

  • I’ve tried and tested so many cameras over the course of my career, but I have a special love for Canon. At the moment I shoot with a Canon EOS R5 and Canon EOS R6 and I’ll use both of these on your wedding day with different lenses attached so that I can capture lots of perspectives at the same time!

My go-to lenses are the Canon 85mm, Canon 35mm, Canon 24-70mm and of course the nifty 50mm.

I rely almost 100% on natural light as I find it the most flattering and least obtrusive. More first dance shots in the evening I might get out a flashgun to add a bit of extra illumination.

  • I love meeting new clients and couples before bookings, as this is a great way to make sure that we’re a good fit (plus, I want to hear ALL about your day and your plans).

If you’re booking me from Bath, Bristol, London and The Cotswolds, we can absolutely grab a coffee together in person. If you’re further away than that, I usually suggest a Zoom call.

After you’ve booked me, I’m happy to chat anytime, on the phone, WhatsApp or even Instagram - I’m here for you.

  • Yes. All my photographic equipment is insured, but I also have professional indemnity insurance and public liability insurance.

  • Generally speaking, the more notice you have on your wedding date, the more likely it is that I’ll be available. But if you’ve got a date at short notice, I’m always happy to hear from you, and together, we’ll see whether we can make it work - especially if it’s near to my home in Bath. I still have a few odd dates free for Winter 2024 and Spring 2025.

  • Absolutely. I send this out to you at the time of booking. It will have all of my terms and conditions as well as what’s included in your package. When you’re happy, we both sign the contract, you pay the booking fee, and your wedding date goes on my calendar!

  • I am super happy to cover your wedding alone, however, I have a network of amazing photographers that I can work alongside to capture even more magical perspectives of your day.

Second shooters can be helpful for bigger weddings, particularly if you want photos of both the bride and groom preparations (I can’t be in two places at once)!

  • This depends! I’ve been taking photos for over 13 years, so rest assured I’m good at adapting to new situations and lighting.

Of course, it’s always helpful to get an idea of a venue, particularly if I haven’t been there before. When we tailor your wedding package at the booking stage, we can add on a venue visit if you’d like us to.

  • Most couples book me for the whole day. I arrive to cover the bridal preparations and stay until the first dance and the start of the party.

  • I send you a gallery of 10 photos within 72 hours of your wedding to give you a sneak peek while the magic is still fresh.

I’ll send you the full high-res gallery of photos within 4 weeks.
